Truck CPC mock test

A mock is only useful if it matches the real thing. Ours runs to the official category CPCT rules — 45 questions, 2 hr 15 min, pass mark 28 out of 45 (62%) — with no feedback until the end.

What the real exam is like

You sit the category CPCT test at a test centre on a touchscreen. There are 45 multiple-choice questions and 2 hr 15 min to answer them, which works out at roughly 180 seconds each — far more than most people need. You can flag a question and come back to it, and you can change an answer any time before you submit.

You need 28 out of 45 (62%). On top of that you must get at least 5 right in every one of the 3 case studies, so a strong overall score does not save you from a weak scenario. If you fail you can rebook, but it costs €72 again — which is the whole argument for practising until mocks are comfortable.

How to use mocks properly
  • Learn first, mock second. A mock measures; it does not teach. Work through the topic packs until the explanations stop surprising you.
  • Sit it in one go, timed. Pausing halfway turns a readiness check into another practice session.
  • Read every wrong answer afterwards. The review screen is the part that moves your score; the score itself is just the receipt.
  • Pass three in a row before you book. One pass can be a lucky draw of questions. Three is a pattern.
In the app

A mock is only worth sitting if it is sat properly.

The app runs the category CPCT paper to the real rules and then makes the review the point, which is the half a web page cannot do.
